Leopard trapped in fencing in Katni. – Photo: Amar Ujala Extension KATNI DISTRICT There was a stir in Paundi village when the villagers going to the farm saw a leopard trapped in the fencing of the forest area. After this the villagers informed the police and forest department. After two hours of struggle, the team from Bandhavgarh rescued him. Later he was released in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. When the villagers saw the leopard trapped in the fencing, they informed the forest post. Also informed the police on dial 233. All the high officials of the Forest Department including Ranger, SDO reached the spot. The crowd of villagers was dispersed. Bandhavgarh team was contacted for rescue. After two hours, the rescue team reached from Umaria district. He made the leopard unconscious. Then put him in the rescue van and first treated him. Then he was released in Bandhavgarh National Park. DFO Gaurav Sharma told that the rescued leopard is about four years old. Its weight is approx to is between kg. It was trapped in the fencing of room number of Katni forest range Kahwara. Bandhavgarh’s team has rescued him. He had minor injuries. After treatment, he was released in Bandhavgarh. ,
