Madhya Pradesh High Court (file photo) – Photo: Amar Ujala Expansion The Madhya Pradesh High Court had directed a high-level committee to investigate the allegations of corruption against the then collector of Balaghat district, Deepak Arya. A contempt petition was filed against non-compliance of the High Court order even after a year. While hearing the contempt petition, a double bench of High Court Chief Justice Ravi Vijay Kumar Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra has given the government the last opportunity for investigation. Tell that in the contempt petition filed by former MLA Kishore Samrite, it was said that the then collector of Balaghat district Deepak Arya had taken expensive gifts in the name of himself and his family members as bribe from custom milling and illegal rice traders, Kanha based resort operators, sand contractors, construction company. In this regard, he had complained to the Central Government. The Central Government had directed the State Government to act on the complaint. The state government had handed over the investigation to the Balaghat collector. The then Collector Deepak Arya himself investigated the allegations leveled against him and gave a clean chit. He had complained to the Central Government against the then Collector’s own investigation. The Central Government had instructed the Chief Secretary of the State Government to take action. Due to no action on the complaint by the Chief Secretary, he filed a petition in the High Court. The High Court had said in its order on January 1644042233 that according to the rules, the officer against whom the allegations have been leveled should be investigated by a senior officer. While disposing of the petition, the Jugal Peeth had issued orders to constitute a high level committee to investigate the complaint. If the complaint is found to be correct, the High Court has also passed orders to take action against the concerned officer as per law and if found wrong, against the petitioner. The said contempt petition was filed due to non-constitution of a high level committee for investigation even after the order of the High Court. Has been. After hearing the petition, the Jugalpeeth has issued notices to non-applicant PS GDA Deepti Gaur Mukherjee and PS Revenue Manish Rastogi. During the hearing on the petition on Thursday, the Jugal Peeth has given the last opportunity to the government for a high-level inquiry.
