The staff of the Forest Department had received information, on the basis of which the team carried out the action. The team arrested one person in the case, while another is absconding.

According to Forest Department officials, the seized teak wood is worth about two lakh rupees. 415 pieces of teak wood have been recovered from inside the house. Sailana Forest Range Officer Seema Singh had received information, on which a team was formed and sent for raids in Sukheda. When the Forest Department team reached Nandkishore Sutar’s house in Sukheda, they found illegally kept teak wood there. The team arrested Nandkishore in the case and released him on bond, while another person fled from the spot. An FIR has been registered against both.

Forest Department Deputy Ranger Kamal Singh Deora said that teak wood kept inside was seized by breaking the lock. Teak is a protected forest produce.
