The deceased has been identified as a retired deputy ranger, who was missing since Sunday afternoon. On information, the Budhni police took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The police have registered a case of murder and started investigating the matter. According to the information, on Monday evening, in the forest near the pipe bridge road of Budni Half burnt dead body of a year old was found. The dead body has been identified as Suresh Soner's father Shivshankar Soner, a resident of Hoshangabad Gwaltoli. Police said that Suresh was missing from his house since Sunday afternoon. Earlier, Suresh had talked to his wife on the phone. He had said that he would come home in an hour or two. After some time, he also uploaded some videos and photos on his WhatsApp status. He did not reach home for a long time after the conversation, when the relatives called, he started saying closed. Even after searching for a long time, there was no trace of him. After which the relatives lodged a missing report of Suresh in the rural police station at around 3 o'clock in the night. Later, the family members searched for Suresh on the road leading to Budhni's pipe bridge and found his slippers on the road. On reaching inside the forest, Suresh's burnt body was lying. Police told that when marks of being dragged from the road towards the forest were found, it was chased. After which Suresh's dead body was seen lying in a pit which was half burnt and naked. Police reached the information and started investigation by taking possession of the dead body. Budhni police station in-charge Vikas Khinchi told that the matter seems to be of murder. We are investigating by registering a case against unknown accused. The accused are being searched on the basis of CCTV footage and mobile location. ,
