(Indicative picture) – Photo: Social Media Expansion Gwalior Lokayukta has arrested a doctor posted in Bhind district hospital red handed while taking a bribe of Rs.3000. He had asked for this bribe in the name of changing the testimony in the court. The deal was fixed for five thousand rupees, he had already taken two thousand. According to the information Munnalal Kushwaha had complained to the Gwalior Lokayukta. He told that one of his cases is under consideration in the Gohad court. Dr. GR Shakya, surgeon posted at Bhind district hospital, is also a witness in the case. Shakya had asked for a bribe of five thousand rupees in the name of testifying in favor of Kushwaha. The doctor has already taken two thousand rupees. They are asking for Rs 3,000 more. The Lokayukta confirmed the complaint and prepared a trap. The Lokayukta got the applicant and the doctor talking and the place to take the money was decided. There is a doctor’s house at Tall Ashok Colony across the Thatipur river in Murar, Gwalior, where the transaction was to take place. The doctor had called him there after taking three thousand. As soon as Munnalal Kushwaha handed over Rs 3,000 as bribe to Dr. Shakya on Friday night, the Lokayukta team present nearby arrested him. The team took the accused doctor to the Murar police station and took further action by registering a case here under the Corruption Act. During inquiry it was found that the applicant Munnalal Kushwaha is a quack doctor. He was caught running a quack clinic in Gohad sometime back. His case was investigated by Dr. GR Shakya. In this case, the doctor was demanding bribe from the applicant to change the testimony. ,
