The accused first beat up men and women with sticks. After this, six people were gunned down one by one. The dead include three women and three men. Apart from this, two people are admitted in Gwalior District Hospital in critical condition. Among the dead, the woman Madhu Tomar was eight months pregnant. After getting the postmortem done, the police had reached Lepa village with six dead bodies at around seven o’clock on Friday evening. Here the relatives refused to perform the last rites, demanding eight new arms licences, housing to live in, government compensation amount for the children of the deceased and bulldozers running at their homes along with early arrest of the accused. The SDM and Tehsildar along with the police officers made a lot of effort to convince the family members, but they remained adamant on their demand. During this, the dead bodies were kept at the door of the house all night waiting for the last rites. On the other hand, the SP while accepting the demand of the family members, along with giving five new arms licenses to the families of the deceased, Assured to provide accommodation, BPL card and 4-1 guard for security. After the assurance of the SP, the family agreed for the last rites. After this, when six bier got up from the door together in the afternoon, people’s heart was shaken. People were crowding behind the bier. The last rites were performed on the banks of the easy river under the protection of the police, whoever saw this scene, his heart sank. Tears were not stopping from the eyes of the people following the bier. The whole village was inconsolable. A video has surfaced after this entire shootout. After being shot, the complainant went to the Sihonia police station and pleaded. The relatives of the deceased kept pleading at the police station, but the policeman’s heart did not budge. Policemen are seen saying in the video that all those who are dying, let them die, there is no staff in the police station. The force gathered long after the incident and reached the village after an hour. After this video, now questions are being raised on the functioning of the police. ,
