According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest monsoon has knocked in parts of Malkangiri, Koraput and Gajapati districts of the state. Conditions are looking favorable for its progress during the next two days. The IMD said that there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershowers in many areas during the next four-five days. There is a possibility of temporary water logging in some low-lying areas and traffic jam in urban areas. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy to very heavy rains on Friday in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Ganjam and Kandhamal. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is also expected in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in the districts of West Uttar Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh on and 25 June. Apart from this, light rain will also occur in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra of Bundelkhand. Heavy rain alert has also been issued in Lakhimpur Kheri, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharth Nagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Ballia, Gonda, Basti, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra. 25 and 26 On June, almost the whole of Uttar Pradesh is expected to be fully active for the monsoon.
