Meghalaya Nagaland Assembly Election 3419: In Nagaland and Meghalaya 12 Voting for the assembly elections will be held on February. Whereas, United Democratic Party (UDP) candidate H Donkupar Roy Lyngdoh's Sohiong assembly constituency in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya Due to death on February there will be no voting. 3419 polling stations in Nagaland Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer V Shashank Shekhar said that Assembly constituencies of 2,239 Votes will be held at polling stations on Monday. 6 in Nagaland elections, approx including women lakh voters including 4 women candidates 76 will decide the electoral fate of the candidates. Polling stations set up in Meghalaya Wherein, twelve districts of Meghalaya 60 Out of the assembly seats will be voted on. Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor said that Assembly constituencies 71614 Votes will be cast at polling stations on Monday. In Meghalaya Total including females 71614 Candidates are in the fray. Earlier, in the assembly elections of 3419 17 including women candidates contested the election. NDPP in Nagaland 40 Contesting on the seats TOTAL OF NATIONAL AND STATE PARTIES IN NAGALAND 766 Political parties are in election battle . The ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 40 is contesting the seats, while its ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has Candidates have been fielded on the seats. Whereas, the Congress 21 have given ticket to the candidates and Naga People's Front is contesting the seats. Other parties including RJD, LJP's Ram Vilas Paswan faction, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma-led National People's Party and NCP are also in the fray. as well as 17 Independent candidates are also in the fray. Know what is the political equation in Meghalaya On the other hand, the National People's Party (NPP) of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in Meghalaya is trying to get a second term. While the Trinamool Congress under the leadership of former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has put all its efforts to win the assembly elections. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party's national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee have campaigned in the state and the party hopes to retain power. The Trinamool Congress became the main opposition party in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly overnight by inducting most of the Congress MLAs including Sangma into the party. The BJP, which ran the government for five years under the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA), is in the fray alone and is hoping to increase its numbers in the assembly this time. At the same time, after all the Congress MLAs who won in the last assembly switched sides, the party hopes that this time its position will be strong in the election field with new faces.
