Meghalaya Election Voting Live Updates: Voting is going on for the Meghalaya assembly elections. People are casting their votes today amid tight security. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) F.R. Kharkongor informed about this incident yesterday. According to the CEO, 24 Election officials were sent to Jangrapara LP School on the night of Feb. The vehicle carrying met with an accident in a remote village in West Garo Hills district. The CEO said other officers and security personnel suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Tikrikila Community Health Center from where the officer, Chesham C. Marak, and his colleagues were sent to a hospital in Goalpara. The second Returning Officer, Chesham, was hit on the head. He was later taken to Guwahati, where he was declared brought dead.
