MCD’s presiding officer Satya Sharma said that the elections of mayor, deputy mayor and members of the standing committee will be held simultaneously. He said that elders will participate in the elections. AAP leader Mukesh Goyal objected to the ting rights to the aldermen and called it a violation of the DMC Act. Sloganeering broke out in the MCD House as BJP corporators demanded elections, while AAP opposed the voting rights of aldermen.
