MCD Election: Shelly Oberoi and Aale Mohammad Iqbal again filed nominations for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections on Monday. MCD elections 19 are to be held on April. During this, Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi were also present with him. Presently Shaili Oberoi is the Mayor and Mohammad Iqbal is the Deputy Mayor.

Mayor Attempt to disrupt the election

Earlier, senior party leader Sanjay Singh Talked to the media on Monday and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had tried to disrupt the mayoral election earlier also, but still AAP won. He said that we will nominate only Shelly Oberoi and Aale Mohammad Iqbal as candidates for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively. AAP had emerged victorious in the mayoral election held earlier, despite attempts by the BJP to obstruct it. Our candidate will win the election this time also.
