Violence in Manipur is not taking the name of stopping. An exchange of fire between unidentified gunmen and Assam Rifles personnel was reported at North Bolzang in Imphal West district at around 5 am on Thursday. There were also reports of unprovoked firing by unidentified gunmen towards Harothel around 5.30 pm on Wednesday. However, the situation was brought under control in the area around 7.30 pm. Women protesters blocked the Sawonbaung-YKPI road at several places.
