Manipur has the largest population of Meitei community

Manipur’s 53 percent of the population belongs to the Meitei community and it mainly lives in the Imphal Valley. Whereas, the population of tribal communities like Naga and Kuki is 53 percent and it mainly lives in the hilly districts.
