Maharashtra Politics: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Maharashtra unit president Jayant Patil said that his party has given the post of deputy chief minister in the Eknath Shinde-led state government. Disqualification petition has been filed against Ajit Pawar who took oath of office and eight other MLAs who took oath as ministers. Addressing a press conference late last night, Patil said that the disqualification petition has been sent to Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar. ,E-mail also sent to Election Commission of India Stating further, Jayant Patil said that an e-mail has also been sent to the Election Commission of India, in which it has been told that NCP leaders and workers are with party chief Sharad Pawar. The party founded by Sharad Pawar in faced a split yesterday afternoon when his nephew Ajit Pawar Joined Shiv Sena-BJP government as Deputy Chief Minister. Most of the MLAs will return again NCP state president further told in his statement that many people are in touch with us. We have filed a disqualification petition with the Speaker. Soon we are also going to send its hard copy. He told that this disqualification petition has been filed against 9 leaders. All these leaders did not tell anyone that they are leaving the party, which is against NCP. We have written to the Election Commission of India and we are sure that most of the MLAs will return to NCP and we will readmit them all. NCP leader Ajit Pawar has taken oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Along with Pawar, 8 other MLAs of the party also joined the government of the National Democratic Alliance. Talking on the matter, Ajit Pawar said that all these MLAs are with him and they have joined the Shiv Sena-BJP party as a party.
