Pandits, priests and devotees were seen drenched in colours. From the sanctum sanctorum to the Nandi hall, colors were blown. First of all Lord Mahakal was smeared with color made of Tesu flowers. During the Bhasmarti, color was thrown at the devotees. For Rangpanchami, on Saturday itself, the priests prepared natural color from three quintals of Tesu flowers. After the Rangpanchami festival in the courtyard of Mahakal, the festival of colors started in the whole city. In the fun of Rang Tarang, youth were seen playing Holi with colors and gulal. In every locality of the city, people are celebrating the festival of Rangpanchami by applying color to each other. This time the enthusiasm of the people on Rangpanchami is worth seeing. Traditional Ger will be taken out from Mahakal Mandir, Simhapuri, Kartik Chowk and Bhagsipura.
