He was elected MLA from this seat in 2021. Rahul is the son of former MP Chief Minister Uma Bharti's elder brother Harwal Singh Lodhi. A single bench of Justice Nandita Dubey, in its order last month, also said that strict action should be taken against the returning officer who accepted Rahul's nomination papers.
