Panchayat held in the village of Morena. - Photo: Amar Ujala Expansion In the rural areas of Morena district of Chambal zone, now against the illegal liquor mafia and drinking liquor in the village Panchayats are being held regarding The latest case is of Kok Singh Ka Pura of Gram Panchayat Khandoli of Janpad Panchayat Jaura. Here elders and youth organized a mahapanchayat in the village after intense brainstorming. In this panchayat, the villagers took an oath not to drink alcohol in one voice. Also took a pledge that neither will sell liquor nor will allow liquor to be sold in the village. Whoever violates the order of the panchayat, a police complaint will be filed against him. The police have assured full support and cooperation to this decision. A mahapanchayat was organized at Hanuman temple in Pura village of Majra Kok Singh of Khandoli village of Morena district. More than one hundred people including elders and youth were present in this panchayat. The panchayat was called regarding liquor ban. In the panchayat, elders and youths unanimously decided to boycott liquor. Khandoli in the district was famous for illegal liquor business. There also the villagers have repented from it. Elders, youth as well as women have agreed in this decision. ASP Rai Singh Narvariya while appreciating the decision of the Panchayat said that the villagers have taken a very good decision. This will save many families from breaking up. The villagers will get full support of the police. Immediate action will be taken on receipt of information against those doing illegal liquor business. will warn first , then there will be a complaint in the police It was decided in the Panchayat organized regarding liquor ban that no person in the village would buy or sell illegal liquor. Liquor smugglers of nearby villages have also been told that if illegal liquor is brought here, strict action will be taken with the help of police and administration. If a person in the village sells illegal liquor, then the Panchayat will decide what social punishment should be given to him, if even after that he does not agree, then the help of the police will be taken. Illegal liquor will not be allowed to be sold under any circumstances.
