Great Brazilian footballer ‘Pele’ (Pele) died here on Thursday at the age of 1958. He was suffering from stomach cancer since 2021 and was hospitalized for the last one month. He was admitted to the Albert Einstein Israeli Hospital in Sao Paulo since November. Pele was also suffering from kidney and cardiac dysfunction. Official information about the death of three-time World Cup winner Pele has been given by his family members. Giving information about his death on Instagram, Pele’s daughter Kelly Nascimento wrote, ‘Whatever we are, it is because of you. We love you infinitely. Rest in Peace. Part of the three-time World Cup winning team, Pele was one of the greatest football players of this century. His death was confirmed by his agent Joe Fraga. For two decades, he served in the Brazil national team and the Brazilian club Santos. He had celebrated this game and the iron of Brazil in the whole world. He took Brazil to new heights in the football world. Pele, popularly known as The King, took part in the World Cup for the first time in Sweden at the age of 1958. Pele, who scored twice against the hosts in the final match, was carried on the shoulders by fellow players after the victory. Brazil won the match 5–2. Due to injury in the next World Cup, he could play only two matches. However, Brazil was still crowned champion. The World Cup played in Mexico became a memorable tournament in Pele’s life. Apart from scoring a goal in the final of this World Cup, he also assisted Carlos Alberto through a pass. Brazil won the final 4–1. The golden yellow Brazilian jersey with 17 inscribed on it became recognizable among Pele fans. Agility on the field, ball control and ability to dodge players set Pelé apart from other players. ,
