Rao 2002 has approached the Supreme Court seeking a ban on the BBC for telecasting a controversial documentary on the Gujarat riots recently considered wrong to do. He also alleged that the NDA government was “indulging in endless privatization of public undertakings”. The Chief Minister alleged that it seems that it has become the policy of the Central Government to “socialize losses and privatize gains”. He said- Modi says that the job of the government is not to do business. I say that the government has every right to do business where it is needed. The intention of the government not to do business is to run away from its responsibilities, which the people of India have given to it. We should share the responsibilities, not run away from them.
