Cases of negligence of former IAS officers are coming to the fore in Madhya Pradesh. In this episode, the latest name is that of Anju Singh Baghel, the then Collector of Katni, who had done many manipulations with the tribal lands during his tenure. On whose two cases, the State Government and the Union Ministry of Personnel and Training (DOPT) have now given permission to run the case in the court by presenting the charge sheet on the FIR registered in the EOW.
In fact, Anju Singh Baghel had transferred the land of Adivasi Ramdatt Gaur to his son Abhiyaendra Singh while he was the collector of Katni. In this case the amount was not even paid to Ramdutt Gaur, whose complaint was filed by the EOW in September and started the investigation. EOW investigation found that 7.6 hectares of land in village Jagua Barai of Katni district was in the name of tribal Ramdutt Gaur, which was sold to a general caste person. After getting the land named after Pawan Rao before his son, he got it done in the name of his son. Not only this, a case had also come up against the then Collector Anju Singh, in which he had allowed a contractor to exchange the valuable land on the highway side with some cheaper land for personal benefit. Against which the tribal farmer had filed an FIR while giving a complaint. On both these cases, the government has now given permission to run a court case against the then retired collector of Katni, Anju Singh Baghel. ,
