State Congress President DK Shivakumar has demanded that the Election Commission should investigate the matter and call details of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) should be called to find out the truth. Talking to the media, he said that a big conspiracy is being hatched to reject the nomination papers of the Congress candidates. Shivakumar alleged that there were defects in some nomination papers of BJP candidates but the CMO “directly called up the officer and instructed him to make changes”. He gave the example of Saundatti Yellamma constituency in this context.
