Apart from Shirhatti, there are some assembly constituencies in Karnataka from where the winning party ruled the state. These include Yelaburga in Koppal district, Harapanahalli in Vijayanagara district, Tarikere in Chikkamagaluru district and Davangere seat in Davangere district. In all the elections held since the year 1999 till now, the party whose candidate won these seats, the same party got power.
