Another Vokkaliga bastion which is part of the old Mysore region, BJP in the past Was successful in snatching the seat from Congress in the election. In this assembly elections, HM Ganesh Prasad from Congress and CS Niranjan from BJP have been fielded from this seat. According to the Election Commission’s website, Congress’s Ganesh Prasad got 19161 votes and BJP’s CS Niranjan got 19161 votes. ,
