The Jain community is agitated over the declaration of Sammed Shikharji, the most important pilgrimage site of the Jain community, as a tourist destination by the Government of Jharkhand and the Central Government. Demonstrations are being held in different cities of the country regarding this. Jain society demands that the central and state government should withdraw their decision to maintain the sanctity of Sammed Shikharji. The sentiments of the Jain community have been hurt by this decision of the government. Jain Samaj is doing Sammed Shikhar Bachao Andolan since December in Rishabh Vihar Jain Temple of Delhi regarding this. In this, two people are also sitting on fast unto death, with which hundreds of people of Jain society are seen standing with this fast unto death.
