Detail In Thakurtola village under rural police station of Balaghat district, a two-year-old innocent girl consumed insecticide while playing. When the girl’s health deteriorated, the mother also drank insecticide to check what she had consumed. The girl died during treatment and the condition of the mother is out of danger.

Khemlal Barkade, who brought his wife and daughter to the district hospital for treatment, told that he works as a labourer. On Saturday afternoon he went to get wood. At home, wife Roshni () was doing domestic work and two year old daughter Ananya was playing. While playing, the daughter consumed the insecticide kept under the belt. Suddenly the daughter started vomiting. To see how the daughter’s health deteriorated, the mother also drank insecticide. The wife informed over the phone regarding the incident. After which he reached home and took both of them to the hospital for treatment. Due to the serious condition of both, they were referred to the district hospital. The daughter died late in the evening during treatment. The condition of the wife is out of danger.

Police not aware

The last rites of the girl child were performed after the postmortem on Sunday. When the station in-charge Prakash Wasle was contacted in this regard, he refused to have information regarding the incident. He told about sending someone to collect information regarding the incident. ,
