In the contempt petition filed by former MLA Kishor Samiti, it was said that Balaghat’s then-collector Deepak Arya had extorted expensive gift manure and family members as bribes from custom milling and illegal traders of rice, Kanha-based resort operators, sand contractors, construction company. The state government had handed over the investigation to the Balaghat collector. Immediately Collector Deepak Arya, while investigating the allegations against himself, gave a clean cheat. Immediately, he had complained to the Central Government against the inquiry being conducted by the Collector himself. The Central Government had instructed the Chief Secretary of the State Government to take action. Due to no action on the complaint by the Chief Secretary, he filed a petition in the High Court. The High Court on January had said in his order that according to the rules, the officer against whom the allegations have been made should be investigated by a senior officer. While disposing of the petition, the Jugal Peeth had issued orders to constitute a high level committee to investigate the complaint. If the complaint is found to be correct, the High Court has also passed orders to take action against the concerned officer as per law and if found wrong, against the petitioner. The said contempt petition was filed due to non-constitution of a high level committee for investigation despite the order of the High Court. Is.
