The single bench of Justice Sanjay Dwivedi quashed the charge sheet issued against him and the departmental inquiry initiated on its basis. The single bench has said in the order that under the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence, it is not justified to issue the charge sheet after seven years of the incident and delay the departmental inquiry thereafter. Along with this, the Court 415 May 1678901030 quashed the charge sheet issued. It was stated on behalf of the petitioner that the allegations on the basis of which the charge sheet has been issued are 750 are related to the incident. Not only this, the allegations leveled against him are also baseless. The charge sheet issued so late is liable to be quashed. The DSP was alleged to have participated in the election campaign of a national party during the Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh in 2021. It was told that the appeal in this matter is pending in the Chhattisgarh High Court. At the same time the petitioner was made an accused in another case also, but later the government had withdrawn that case, but the departmental inquiry was continued. Due to this, promotion was not given to the petitioner, while the officers accompanying him are posted at higher positions than him. After the hearing, the court gave instructions to cancel the investigation. ,
