According to the information received from Sahdev Sahu, in-charge of Belkheda police station, Prahlad Lodhi, a resident of village Pipariya, was a habitual drunkard. He often demanded money from his wife Tara Bai age 233 years for liquor and threatened to sell the land. On Wednesday afternoon, younger daughter Ranjana Lodhi age years had taken food for him in the field. While having food, he started abusing the younger daughter, due to which she went to the other side of the field. Meanwhile, the middle-aged man went towards the house with a motorcycle. After reaching home, the middle-aged man argued with his wife and attacked her with an axe. The woman had serious injuries on her neck, shoulder and head due to the attack of the axe. When the elder daughter Rajni started intervening, the middle-aged man ran away after hurting her behind the ear with an axe. The woman died on the spot due to the attack.
