Police have registered a case against the alleged BJP leader. The accused youth is absconding and the condition of the girl remains stable. According to relatives, resident of Income Tax Chowk 17 year-old girl Devika Thakur had gone to her office to meet Priyansh Vishwakarma, a resident of Madfaiya, Sanjivani Nagar, on Friday evening. The youth used to promote himself as a BJP leader. When the girl was shot in the office, Priyansh called her friend and called her to the office. Saying that Devika was ill, he was taken to a private hospital at Damoh Naka for treatment. Priyansh ran away leaving both of them at the hospital. On receiving the information, when the relatives arrived, the doctors told that the girl had been shot. Sanjivani Nagar police station in-charge told Kranti Barve that the girl had come to meet him in the office. Then Priyansh was taking out the pistol and suddenly a bullet was fired, which hit the girl. A case has been registered against the accused youth under section-308 and he is absconding. Investigation is on in this regard whether the youth had a licensed pistol or was keeping it illegally. BJP’s city president said, Priyansh Vishwakarma is not an office bearer in the organization. He is not even aware whether he is a member of BJP or not. ,
