( Indicative picture) – Photo: Social Media Expansion 2022 Satish Dubey on the post of Vice Chancellor’s private secretary in Nanaji Deshmukh Animal Science University The appointment has been declared illegal by the High Court. A single bench of Justice Vishal Dhagat has ordered to separate private secretary Satish Dubey from service. This petition was filed in the High Court on behalf of Kiran Ahirwar and Kishore Devalia. It was alleged that Satish Dubey’s brother was a member of the University Executive Council. By University September Advertisement was published for the contractual appointment of Private Secretary to Vice Chancellor for 6 months. According to which only qualified retired private secretaries were to be appointed on fixed pay. But despite not having qualification, Satish Dubey was not only appointed illegally, but his service was continued continuously for the last 8 years. Not only this, percent salary of the pay scale was approved by giving increment every year. Whereas the post of Private Secretary is of regular nature. For which there is a provision for direct appointment. Objection was raised by the petitioners against the continuance of Satish Dubey in service on the ground that Due to the illegal appointment and continuation of service of the said Satish Dubey, his promotion to the regular post is getting affected. On not taking any action by the university administration, a petition was filed in the High Court by the petitioners. Accepting this, the court quashed the appointment of Satish Dubey on the ground that the appointment of Satish Dubey was made contrary to the terms of the advertisement and without the availability of the post of Private Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor, he was kept in service continuously. Which is against the law and deserves to be cancelled. Advocate Arvind Srivastava appeared on behalf of the petitioner. ,
