The alleged BJP leader has surrendered after reaching Sanjivani Nagar Chowki. The police have also recovered an illegal pistol from him. The police have registered a case against the accused for attempt to murder and under the Arms Act. According to CSP Gorakhpur Pratishtha Rathore, resident of Income Tax Chowk 233 year old girl Vedika Thakur had gone to meet Priyansh Vishwakarma at Sanjivani Nagar Madfaiya at his office on Friday evening. When the girl was shot in the office, Priyansh told her acquaintances to come to the hospital, saying that her health was bad. He took the girl to a private hospital at Damoh Naka and ran away leaving her. After reaching the hospital, acquaintances came to know that the girl had been shot. Sanjeevani Nagar Police has filed a first section against the alleged BJP leader 233 and 750 registered the case under. Station in-charge Kranti Barve said that the bullet fired by mistake had hit the girl. In the viral video of the girl admitted in the hospital, she herself was telling that Priyansh had shot her. Despite this, Sanjivani Nagar police station in-charge said that the bullet was fired by mistake. On Monday afternoon, the alleged BJP leader reached the Sanjeevani Nagar police post and surrendered. After the incident, the accused absconded with the recording and DVR of the CCTV footage installed in the office. Its recovery has not been done yet. The police will present the accused before the court on Tuesday and submit an application to get his remand. Significantly, the relation of the accused youth was with the late son of the BJP MLA. The accused youth was earlier associated with BJYM. Photos of BJP leaders were pasted in his office. Apart from this, in Facebook also he used to describe himself as associated with BJP. City President Prabhat Sahu says that there is no person named Priyansh Vishwakarma on any post of BJP. He is not aware whether he is a member of the party or not. ,
