Court Room – Photo: Social Media Expansion Jabalpur’s special POCSO court convicted Abhilash Chowdhary, accused of kidnapping and raping a minor by luring her 03 is sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year. The court imposed a fine of Rs 4,000 on the accused and ordered compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the victim. The court was told by the prosecution that on November 1 the victim’s mother lodged a missing report of the daughter at the Lardganj police station. It was told that her daughter had gone from home wearing school dress and carrying school bag saying she was going to school, but around 4: 1680086352 didn’t come back home till o’clock. On investigation, it was found that the daughter had not gone to school. Some unknown person has abducted her by alluring her. The police registered the case and arrested the victim at around 2.30 am. Who had told the police in her statements that she knew the accused Abhilash Chaudhary, she had befriended the accused through Facebook. On the date of occurrence, the accused had taken the accused to Chandal Bhata, his aunt’s house, but at his aunt’s house No one was there, the aunt had gone to work, where the accused raped her. When she protested, the accused had threatened to kill her parents, so she became silent. After investigation, the police filed a case under kidnapping, misbehavior and POCSO Act and presented the challan before the court. Keeping in view the witnesses and evidence produced during the trial, the court punished the accused with the above sentence.
