Jail demo – Photo: File Photo Expansion In Jabalpur, the special POCSO court has convicted a young man who seduced and raped a minor 20 is sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 4,000 on the convict. The court was told by the prosecution that on December 3 the victim’s mother lodged a report at the Adhartal police station that at around 2 in the afternoon she had gone to the market leaving her daughter at home and when she came home at around 3 o’clock, So the daughter was not at home. On searching, the daughter’s friend told that the daughter is with Salih alias Abid alias Raja Ansari. When she went to Sahil Khan’s house at Raza Chowk, Sahil was not at home. The mother had raised suspicion in front of the police that Sahil alias Raja Khan had eloped and taken the daughter away somewhere. On the complaint, the police registered the missing report and took the matter under investigation. On December 8 1659197109, the police arrested the victim. After this, the police filed a case against the accused Sahil alias Abid under POCSO and misdemeanor and other sections and presented the challan before the court. Keeping in view the witnesses and evidence produced during the hearing, the court convicted the accused and punished him with the said punishment.
