In this 60 seats were won by the pre-poll alliance of NDPP-BJP, of which NDPP 12 and BJP 60 secured the seat. NDPP won 37 seat in , while BJP won only seat. Nationalist Congress Party won seven seats, NPF five and Naga People’s Front, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and RPI (Athawale) two seats each. The Janata Dal (United) has won one seat, while four independents have won.
