The Madhya Pradesh government on Thursday transferred officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS), including the police commissioners of Bhopal and Indore. According to the order issued by the government, Bhopal Police Commissioner Makarand Deoskar will now be the new Indore Police Commissioner, while Indore Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra will now be the Bhopal Police Commissioner in his place. Bhopal and Indore have police commissionerate system.

Sources said that other transferred Among the officers, Yogesh Mudgal has been made Additional Director General of Police Technical Services at Police Headquarters (PHQ) Bhopal, while G Akheto Sema will be the new Additional Director General of Police Jails.

Anil Kumar has been transferred to Police Headquarters Bhopal and made Additional Director General of Police, State Industrial Security Force (SISF). Apart from this, he has also been given the additional charge of Additional Director General of Police, Community Policing and RTI. Sources told that Vivek Sharma has been appointed Additional Director General of Police Planning at Police Headquarters. Six officers of the rank of Inspector General of Police have also been given new assignments.

Hoshangabad Zone and Sushant Kumar Saxena has been sent to Morena as Inspector General of Police, Chambal Zone.
