The building inspector of the corporation and other officials also did not pay attention and despite the father warning the landlord did not fill the pit. A few days later, the three-year-old slipped and fell in a pit while playing and died. The child lay in the pit for about an hour. When the parents found out, they took him out and rushed him to MY Hospital. He was pronounced dead by doctors here. According to Lasudia police, the incident took place in Nirjanpur area. Three-year-old Hrithik Vashankar, who lived here, drowned. Father Chotu said that his son disappeared while playing in the evening. His wife Poonam was cooking at home. At about seven o’clock, the wife noticed and looked for her son around. Then he was found lying in the pit. He was removed and taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead after a check-up.
The father had warned the landlord0707708 Chotu said that he is originally from Sematora village in Ashok Nagar. He moved here two months ago and started renting. Potholes had been dug near his house due to construction for several days. He had also asked the owner to fill the pit as it was flooded due to rain but he did not pay attention. Chotu works as a labourer. Hrithik has a five-month-old brother. The elder brother Aditya lives in the village with his grandparents. Police are investigating the negligence.
