There was a gathering of people in the temple. Suddenly the roof of the stepwell in the temple premises collapsed and the crowd fell straight into the stepwell. People didn’t even get a chance to recover from the sudden accident. By the time the help of the administration reached them, people had died.

Three main reasons for the death of so many people in the accident
1. Negligence of administration After the accident, now its responsible- He is seen to be shaking his head. It is learned that the residents here were complaining about illegal construction and encroachment going on here to the corporation, collector and other departments for a long time, but no one was listening to the officials. It is also learned that the administration was told that the temple is being renovated. The well was covered under the nose and the administration did not even know. Now after the accident, the corporation has ordered the temple trust to remove the construction. The order has been issued in the name of Sevaram Galani, President of Shri Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple Trust.

2. Weak construction The stepwell was covered in the temple premises. To cover it, a mesh of bars was made and tiles were laid on it. If the RCC roof had also been filled, the accident would not have happened. On the day of the event, a carpet was spread on this weak structure and people were gathered. As the weight increased, the construction also started collapsing. When the people went ahead to offer the sacrifice and the weight reached one place, the structure completely collapsed and the people fell directly into the stepwell.

3. Presence of water in the stepwell
The stepwell which was covered in the temple premises, had accumulated water and silt. Was. As soon as people fell at the time of the accident. They went on suppressing. In the struggle to get out of the people above, the people present below were trampled under their feet. Due to water, they drowned and lost their lives. It is learned that the administrative help had reached about two hours after the accident, till then the fallen people were struggling to get out on their own. And the people buried below kept getting buried further down. Till now people’s death is being told. But some people are feared to be buried under the debris of the well. Due to which the number of dead can increase. ,
