Expansion Chandan, a large township in the western area of ​​Indore. The people of the city remained thirsty. The reason was that the employee who was responsible for supplying water by opening the valve from the area tank, was discharged by the tank in-charge. Taps come in the colony at 9 am. People kept sitting waiting for water. When the taps did not come till 9.15 am, the angry people reached the councilor Rafiq Khan. When he gathered information about the non-availability of the tap, it came to know that the employee had gone on leave. Because of this the taps did not come.

After this, the councilors along with the residents went to protest at the tank. They sat on a dharna and expressed their protest by raising slogans. Councilor Khan told the officers that water is supplied daily in many areas of the city, but in Chandan Nagar area water is given once except one day, that too is not being taken care of. The residents discussed with Narmada Project’s Executive Engineer Sanjeev Srivastava and told about the negligence of the officer, he said that he will be removed soon.

Tank was full

The area where the taps did not come. The tank there was full, but the employee who opened the valve for supply was discharged. The responsibility of supply was not given to any other employee in his place. Because of this people had to face trouble.

The councilor told that there is a problem of dirty water in the area. Many times dirty water comes in the taps. When the residents take a complaint, the tank in-charge Nitesh Singh postpones the complaint citing staff shortage. He said that if the water supply system is not improved, the residents will launch a fierce movement.
