Today, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and MP Shankar Lalwani performed Bhumi Pujan of these construction works. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in the program organized on this occasion, MP Shankar Lalwani said that Indore is one of the fastest growing cities in India and development of rail infrastructure is extremely necessary considering the need of the coming years. He said that Indore Main Railway Station, Park Road Railway Station and Laxmibai Nagar Railway Station are being developed and Indore will have world class stations in the coming years. Many passenger facilities will be developed including the new building and platform of the railway station. The cost of doubling of Indore-Ujjain-Dewas route is more than Rs.100 crores, while the cost of doubling of Indore-Ujjain-Dewas route is about Rs. Laxmibai Nagar railway station will be built from the revenue and platform and other development works will be done at a cost of Rs 2 crore.
