A woman had to wait for 13 hours for an operation to remove the dead child from her daughter. Government doctors kept dealing with the mentality of ‘come later’. Eventually the woman’s husband called the collector. The operation was done after his intervention. Gangram Sharma, a resident of Nanda Nagar, along with his wife Priyanka went to PC Sethi Hospital on March 27. Doctors asked to do sonography. The staff of the sonography center had asked to come on 11th April. When the couple reached for sonography at the appointed time, it was found that the unborn child had died. Taking the report, the couple reached PC Sethi Hospital and kept urging the doctors to operate and take out the child, but the doctors postponed it. The couple was perplexed and when the doctors refused to operate, they called up Collector Ilaiah Raja. Then the collector called the doctors and asked for operation. After this the operation was done and the dead child was removed from the stomach and sent to MY Hospital for postmortem. Now investigation is also being done in this matter that on what basis the doctors kept denying operation to the couple. Dr. of PC Sethi Hospital in this case.
