Rakesh Sharma will be honored - Photo: amar ujala digital Expansion Rakesh Sharma, editor of the literary magazine 'Veena', will be given this year's Brijlal Dwivedi Memorial All India Literary Journalism Award. The ceremony will be organized on April 2 at Indore Press Club. That the function organized at Indore Press Club will be presided over by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission Chairman Rajesh Lal Mehra, while senior litterateur Girish Pankaj will be the chief guest. Ravinandan Singh, editor of magazine 'Saraswati', Dr. Vikas Dave, director of Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi and Dr. Sonali Narangude, chairperson of journalism department of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, will be present as special guests. This is the second time, when the editor of 'Veena' is being given Pt. Brijlal Dwivedi Smriti All India Literary Journalism Award. Earlier in the year 2007, the then editor of Veena Late. The award was conferred on Shyamsundar Vyas. The jury of the award includes Vishwanath Sachdev, former editor of Navbharat Times, Mumbai and Dr. Satchidanand Joshi, member secretary, Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra, Delhi. Rakesh Sharma, who was honored this year, has written more than fifteen books. He worked as Assistant Director (Official Language) in the Ministry of Labour, Government of India for year. He has received many honors including 'Shri Krishna Saral' honor of Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi.
