Liquor shop should not be opened in residential area. Scheme Number Residents of the area strongly opposed the opening of country and foreign liquor shops on the main service road of Sector D. Residents say that drunkards create ruckus in the area by drinking alcohol and due to the closure of the doors, many times they drink alcohol sitting on the roadside and in the green belt. Angered by this, the residents protested in front of the liquor shop. Sanskriti Ms. Usha Thakur also reached among the women sitting on dharna. The women told them that it would be difficult for us to live in the colony with the liquor shop. The bus staff of the hospital and children’s school are near the liquor shop. We will not be able to send our children to school. The minister said that she is with the residents and will ask the officers to remove the liquor shop. Chairman of the movement committee Babu Singh Chauhan told that according to town and country planning this is a residential plot. Opening a liquor shop here is also a violation of the lease conditions of the Indore Development Authority. Congress councilor Rafiq Khan has also supported the protest of the residents.
