Gurupurnima was celebrated with devotion in the city. There was an influx of disciples from morning till evening in temples and ashrams. In the ashrams, the disciples were shining from morning to evening. Many people came from other states also to worship the feet of their Guru. Peethadhishwar of the sect Jagadguru Swami Ramdayal Maharaj Devotees performed aarti with lamps. Thousands of devotees from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states participated in the festival. There were long queues for worship. The Guru Purnima festival was celebrated with great pomp at Shri Ram Temple located at Bada Ganapati. Gurupada Pujan started from 6 in the morning.
