India China Tension : The Indian Army made a new beginning for the first time by commissioning five women cadets in the Artillery Regiment. Lt Mehak Saini, Lt Sakshi Dubey, Lt Aditi Yadav, Lt Payas Moudgil and Lt Akanksha were on Saturday commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery after successfully completing their training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. 640 candidates participated in the passing out parade held at OTA Chennai.
in these Candidates are citizens of Bhutan. The passing out parade was reviewed by Bangladesh Army Chief COAS General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed. These women officers joining the Regiment of Artillery have successfully completed their training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. Of the five women officers, three have been posted in troops deployed along the borders with China and two other women officers have been posted in challenging locations along the forward border with Pakistan.
Galwan Hero’s wife became a lieutenant in the army, where her husband got martyrdom, got his first posting there Rekha Singh, wife of martyr Deepak Singh of Bihar Regiment, who was martyred in the violent clash, has also joined the army. She has been commissioned in the army as a lieutenant. The special thing is that Rekha Singh has been given the first posting on LAC in East Ladakh. Rekha Singh has completed one year training from the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, after which she has been inducted into the army as a lieutenant.
