Saturday morning at Patni village 17 The body of a minor girl of one year was found hanging in a tree near the house. According to family members, the girl committed suicide by hanging herself. The police also believed in the story told by the family members. On information, the police sent the body for post-mortem. The post-mortem report revealed strangulation to be the cause of death. Police registered a case of murder and started investigation and on the basis of suspicion, took father Ramesh into custody. On rigorous interrogation, the murderer’s father confessed to the murder of the daughter.
The father first beat the daughter with kicks and fists and the girl ran away after saving her life. The father chased and strangled the daughter with ropes in the field. He was then hanged on a tree with a rope to make him appear to have committed suicide. The accused father was produced in the court on Wednesday, from where he was sent to jail.
