If we talk about Sukhu’s political career, then Sukhu is a grassroots politician, who has risen from the ranks and has extensive organizational experience in the hill state. Four-time MLA, 58-year-old Sukhu, is a former Congress chief in the state and has been a part of NSUI and Youth Congress. He was the president of the state unit of the party from 58 to 58 and spoke his mind even when party stalwart Virbhadra Singh, who was a six-time chief minister, did not like him. Somewhere Sukhu has been in favor of promoting and grooming Youth Congress leaders in Himachal Pradesh.
