Himachal Pradesh: Allegedly in Jol-Sappad, Rangas and Kandraula panchayats under Nadaun sub-division in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh About 150 people have become ill after drinking contaminated water. Drinking water was being supplied in these panchayats under the drinking water scheme. According to reports, people of about a dozen villages including Banh, Jangdi Gujran, Jandali, Rajputan, Panyala, Pathiyalu, Rangas Chowki Haar, Thane and Sankar have been affected by drinking contaminated water and the number of sick may increase further.
