New Delhi : Amid rising heat in India and forecast of heat wave, the Delhi government has decided to open schools in the national capital. A new guideline has been issued regarding summer preparations. A circular issued by the Delhi government states that all schools in Delhi recognized under the Directorate of Education will have to ensure that there is no gathering of students in schools during the afternoon shift.

In the guideline issued by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal government, it has been said that summer in Delhi During the monsoon season, the day temperature reaches beyond degree Celsius, which is dangerous for children studying in schools and Harmful to the health of teenagers. Rise in temperature in the National Capital Region (NCR) has led to an increase in cases of heat-related illness.

Clean water should be arranged in schools

Students should be given breaks to drink water during classes.

The directorate has further mentioned that if any student has a case of heat related illness, the schools must report to the nearest hospital or health facility.
