Train accident: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the train accident this morning and has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for the dependents. Since both Up and Down lines are closed, Railways has canceled Shalimar-Puri Express and Shalimar-Hyderabad Express train is canceled for today.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav expressed grief over the accident and described the death of two passengers as tragic due to the derailment of the goods train.
