35 The new abode of cheetahs will be built at a cost of Rs. )Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan further said that about 35 crore rupees will be spent in developing the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary to make a new home for cheetahs. On the other hand, officials of the Forest Department say that they had already informed the government about the lack of space for the cheetahs kept in the Kuno National Sanctuary. Forest Department officials have requested to build a second home for the cheetahs, as the Kuno National Sanctuary does not have enough space. The forest department had asked the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) to take a decision in this regard.
